MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Claude Johnson who has been nominated Member of the Month for May. Claude has been consistently working out for the last few months now, and puts a great deal of effort in to each and every workout.

BIGGEST LOSER UPDATE

Of the 13 original participants, we did have a few who finished the 12 weeks with good weight losses.

Angela Pfeiffer was the overall first place winner, and will receive the $325.00 prize money and lost 9.08% of her original starting weight. Second place goes to Barb Dreichel, who will be receiving a “spa package” donated by Essentials Spa and Wellness. Shelley Henry who came in third place, will receive a gift certificate from Rural Roots Hair Studio. Thanks to all participants and thanks to Rural Roots and Essentials Spa for their donations.

A total of over 65 pounds was lost by the participants. CONGRATULATIONS!

VICTORIA DAY CLOSING

Village C.A.R.E.S. Fitness Centre will be closed on Monday, May 23, resuming regular business hours on Tuesday.

STAFF CHANGES

With graduation looming for Grayson Niessen, he has moved on to pursue his heavy duty mechanic career and we wish him well! We will miss his smiling face at the gym.

KEEP POSITIVE

If you put yourself in a positive frame of mind, you can accomplish anything. If you can clearly see your goal, there’s nothing stopping you. Surround yourself with positive images and visual reminders to boost your spirits and keep motivation high. Having a visual picture of your ultimate goals can be like a voice of encouragement, helping you stay focused on the prize and energized to overcome any obstacle.
With a visual nearby, your goal is right there. It’s clear what you want. It’s clearly within your grasp. You have the power to reach out and just take it.

Remember, the only thing you have complete control over is your attitude. You alone are responsible for making yourself happy. Do not depend on others to keep you smiling and positive. Choose to be optimistic. Avoid complaining, especially when the things you are complaining about can’t be avoided or changed.
